Today was packed with projects. Got woke up by my buddy Brian to help him with his chopper project. I know how to do wiring to an extent, and I understand it for the most part but he is way better than me with it. I can solder, shrink wrap, tap into and run wires easy... he on the other hand understands timing advance and ignition and all the shit that you really NEED to know.
So I tell him a few days ago "If you need help with your bike, let me know. I'll help you out if you can help me learn this shit." so he wakes me up this morning knowing damned well I'm gonna sleep in and goes "Hey, i'm got some awesome fucking coffee brewing, you gonna get your ass over here and wire this bike or what?" HAHA!
So I get my ass up and go help him.
By the end of the day I've entirely wired this customer harley sporster chopper project bike of his and he's helped me immensely in understanding it.
We get that done and then he brings his dad's bike over and we work on the carbs on it because they weren't working on them. Whamo! Nother project. We got on that and I left after a while because I was beat tired (but him and his dad got them going).
I get home and worked on my bikes a bit and settled down with some rum.
My buddy chris came over to drop off my tools he borrowed (he upgraded his forks and put them back on today) and we took some pictures of all the bikes. Him and some buddies rode up and we had some fun with my Canon camera.
Got some updates on the site. Hoping the enthusiasm of bike night is enough tomorrow for a good turnout. I'm enjoying meeting so many local bikers lately. It's been a truly awesome experience lately. I just want my fucking cafe racer finished.
